i-Phone App image/ Model Release

In model release requirements for i-phone app image, Tod Seelie is concerned whether he should have a release or not and Nancy Wolff who specializes in intellectual prperty law, responds to him. Nancy mentions that it is very good of his part to be concerned and have these questions. As Tod had mentioned whether he should or should not have a release placed Nancy said "Until state law is drafted with digital media the law that is already written, if you are interested inlicensing images for a slide show, there is less risk of a claim under some state's publicity laws if you have a release for the images". With that said it has answered most of Tod's questions, even though Tod was just going to use images for the i-Phone app he shuld have a back up and still have the release as a backup.

A model release, known in similar contexts as a liability waiver, is a legal release typically signed by the subject of a photograph granting permission to publish the photograph in one form or another. The legal rights of the signatories in reference to the material is thereafter subject to the allowances and restrictions stated in the release, and also possibly in exchange for compensation paid to the photographed.

Blur

The meaning of this photograph was to get a good shot of my model blurred and the background to be sharp. Sadly that was not my result. the placement which she is in is in between two tall trees that i had liked, they give the shot a forest vibe. What my teacher Ms. Miles had pointed out was that i need to check my shot before taking it because if you notice my model seems to be jumping into the trash can when she truly isnt. This image has some vary odd shapes that make you not see the freshness and parallelsim of some things making abstract.
The tones of this shot are more on the dark scale because the tree on the upperground of the picture is dark which takes most of the attention. Other than that the rest of it is on the gray scaled tone. Viewing the result of my photograph, it is not sharp and focused at all, my model is to be blurred but not the background and the whole image is blurred which was a total accident.
Once again the lighting of this picture is more dull because it was taking on a cloudy day outside. The piece was not my most succesful of all but in some way it did work out.

Shallow Depth of Field

The angle in which this photograph was taking was because i wanted to show how long the bench seemed to be when it truly was not long at all. In this image the bench may seem big and it might seem that it goes on for a while. This images has a very straight forward stucture and is very parallel although it does have some bushes in the background that are differently shaped. At the most this image is figurative to me mainly because what takes up most of the image is the parallel lines in the bench.
There are more rectangular and it does have some non symmetrcal circular forms in the background (bushes). The tones are dark. The image is focused but in the upper ground it is blurred because that was the assignment to have shallow depth of field but it was intentionally.
The image is dull because it was taking on a rainy cloudy day, in the front part of sdscpa. I like this picture alot because of the focus the water droplets have on the bench and how the bench is viewed in a very long way, it was succesful.

Shoot One

Working with film in general gives me an archaic perspective of how i view the picture. When going on this shoot i tried incorporating the tips that Mrs.Miles had giving, to have a good result with this shot. This shot was taking in the back part of sdscpa.
I liked the angle in which i took it, for some reason taking pictures in a side view of objects is what i like to do, i feel that it gives the image a different structure. The distance of the trash cans is more closer to the fore ground. The architecture of the trash cans is very straight edged, there is no curves or wierd shaped structure within the trash cans. Although, the background, does have more shape to it because of the sturcture of the trees, but what stands out more are the trash cans. This shot is more figurative.

This photograph has more darks then whites . The outer layers of the trash cans are the blacks of this photo and the background of the trees is the "whites". The whites arent very strong. The rest of this photo is just tones of gray. Most of the image is focused but on the top right corner there is a blur because of the sunlight, but thats how it was meant to be.
The image is a gray light because of the outdoor lighting since it was taking outside and the focus i believe. The day this photo was taking it was a semi sunny day, the lighten was more on the dull side then on the sunny side. The focus was good and it didnt make the picture blur making the result more focused and sharp on the lighting.
I liked my result because it was a simple but different picture. The structure of the picture was what i liked best, where the trash cans were positioned and the tones of the image was a like aswell.
